Light Interaction

Light interaction in Omniarch is designed to enhance realism and immersion during First-Person Mode exploration, both within Omniarch Editor and during project presentations in Omniarch Explorer. This feature enables real-time engagement with lighting setups, allowing lighting conditions to be toggled in response to exploration scenarios.

Lights can also be interacted in Editor Mode using flycam navigation if interactions are enabled (Q key). This allows to test lights without the need of switching modes.

By default, all newly placed light sources have interaction parameter enabled. For specific needs this parameter can be disabled by enabling the Disable Player Interaction checkbox found in the Light Source Parameters. Disabling this option prevents the light from being interacted in both the Omniarch Editor and Omniarch Explorer.

Interaction System will undergo major changes in the future updates, with extensive systems for mesh bound interactions. This will allow light sources to be linked to objects within the scene, such as light switches.
